Loners Committee Alive and Well

The Loners Committee is alive and well, and communicating all over the world! In the past six months, Loners Committee members in 22 states and seven countries have sent and received over 175 pieces of correspondence. Thank God.

It is a very exciting and rewarding way to fulfill God’s will — sharing the wonderful lessons we’ve been taught in SA. Not only is it a great way to battle complacency and boredom, but it keeps us sober.

My sponsor told me early on to work the Steps One through Eleven efficiently, thoroughly and quickly. Why? So that I’d be good and ready to work Step 12. “That’s the most important one,” he said. “That’s why we’re here. We are taught these lessons and given spiritual growth through sobriety so that we can share them and help others to do the same.”

So, whether you’ve been sober for a couple of months or for many years, whether you live near many meetings or none at all, just a simple reaching out is one of the best ways of working that all-important 12th Step. And it’s fun, too.

Pray on it, talk to your sponsor and then write to us. We’ll set you up with a mailing list and you can start immediately.
