“The Three Legacies work together harmoniously to build up the individual, the group, and the community. The Steps allow God to restore connection and power to the individual while the Traditons allow God keep the group together. The Concepts invite God to create communities around the world that respect and cooperate with each other. All three legacies carry the message of recovery to the sexaholic who still suffers in a unique and irreplaceable way.”

ESSAY - June 2026 - The Three Legacies: Recovery, Unity, Service

The symbol of the Circle and Triangle is used everywhere in Twelve-Step Fellowships, yet is not often explained. There is a powerful story and message within this symbol that reminds us of the importance of practicing the Steps, Traditions, and Concepts. Each side of the triangle serves a special place in the life of each member. This symbol gives hope and inspires members to continue to “practice these principles in all our affairs.”
