As we grow in sobriety, however, being single becomes a joy and freedom as we learn how to relate, serve, and interact with those around us. What a wonderful discovery to experience a rich and meaningful life, whether we are single or married. The 12 Steps and the Fellowship of SA make this possible. Marriage seemed to be the only option for living. Many sober and single members in SA have come to realize that their problem was not needing a relationship to be normal. Their problem was needing a relationship with a loving Higher Power as a result of working the Steps. SA offers a wonderful solution of recovery from lust that allows us to live a rich and meaningful life, whether we are single or married.
