Connecticut-Westchester Intergroup
The following is from Sharing Recovery, a newsletter published by the Connecticut-Westchester Intergroup, June-August 1993:
“What we hope to accomplish by putting together a newsletter for our Connecticut and Westchester groups is to provide a chance to share our recovery, keep ourselves informed of upcoming events, help unify different groups as well as allow them to share successes and failures, and include tools of the program, anniversaries and slogans.
Each issue will develop a topic or Step. In special cases problems requiring our attention may be presented. For example, one particular concern currently being discussed at meetings has been the importance of sponsorship and the need for sponsors. Other items to be included in our newsletter will be a tools of the program section, an announcements section, shared stories, suggested readings, and anniversaries.
The success of this venture will depend a lot on the energy and talent of a few dedicated members. It will also need contributions of any and all those interested. So if you have something you want to share with the rest of us, please put a pen to paper or give your idea to your intergroup representative and we’ll do our best to put it into print so that all can benefit.
Our newsletter will never take the place of meetings or making our Steps, but we hope it will help to unify and add to our recovery.”
