SA’S “MEETING IN PRINT”
ESSAY presents the experience, strength, and hope of SA members. ESSAY is aware that every SA member has an individual way of working the program. In submitting articles, please remember SA’s sobriety definition is not debated, since it distinguishes SA from other sex addiction fellowships. Opinions expressed in ESSAY are not to be attributed to SA as a whole, nor does publication of any article imply endorsement by SA or by ESSAY.
WE INVITE YOUR SUBMISSIONS
Your writings and art are invited, although no payment can be made. All articles, art, and letters submitted are assumed intended for publication.
We invite articles of different lengths, from 200-400 word anecdotes or memories, to 400-600 word Practical Tools or Steps & Traditions, to 1000–1500 word articles on the Theme of the issue or SA Stories. All articles are edited to maintain their essence and meet ESSAY word length and content limits. Articles submitted become the property of ESSAY for copyright purposes and may be translated, recorded, and used on our website. Please do not reference unadjudicated illegal activities.
We prefer electronically submitted manuscripts sent to Essay@sa.org. Alternatively, articles may be sent by postal mail to SAICO, PO Box 3565, Brentwood, TN 37024 USA. Handwritten items should be written clearly on only one side of each sheet. Articles are invited in the original language with an English translation. Please include an author name, sobriety date, address, telephone number, and/or e-mail address so that authenticity can be verified. This information will remain confidential.
The ESSAY especially welcomes meeting room photos, visual artwork, recovery poems, and humor. Graphic art and funny stories enhance each issue.
Please use the following form to submit your content to ESSAY. We will definitely contact you if your submission is selected for publication.
