…I have been able to maintain my sexual sobriety for five and a half months now with the help of God, meetings and the literature, which really means applying the Steps in my life each day in all my affairs. I have not had a great deal of trouble in those five months except at certain times and when they did come, it was very difficult but I want my sexual sobriety very much and am in touch with God constantly. I don’t want to act out and give up the great freedom, peace of mind, and my closer contact with my Higher Power; to be able to surrender immediately a lustful thought that has come into my head has been a great blessing. I don’t count the days very often now because time to me isn’t that important but the quality of my sobriety is very important. I am working the Steps each day and trying to apply them to the best of my ability. I do know that as I grow, the better able I am to apply them. We have started a third group here although we are few in number. We are still trying to grow. There’s about four of us that have sobriety over three months, the longest being nine months, but I believe this is how it started off in America and, of course, we are only in our infancy.…

…When I arrived in Chicago, I checked out the Wednesday and Friday evening meetings and they are just what I need. It feels like family at those meetings. Everyone is so open and willing to help, it’s a “WE” meeting.…
