Last Sunday I celebrated one year of sexual sobriety, due completely to my magnanimous Higher Power and the Program (SA) He has placed in my life. Transformed one-day-at-a-time from a totally hopeless, spiritually anemic person into a hopeful, significant part of His Plan, I am of all people most blessed. Thank you. Our Syracuse group is growing in grace both size and sobriety-wise and it’s a privilege to see God’s transforming Power at work in the lives of many people. Thank you for your love in the form of staying sober and working the Steps and I hope to emulate your example of service to SA while holding a service position. In closing, I would like to quote something Malcolm Muggeridge once wrote:
“Contrary to what might be expected, I look back on experiences that at the time seemed especially desolating and painful with particular satisfaction. Indeed, I can say with complete truthfulness that everything I have learned in my 75 years in this world, everything that has truly enhanced and enlightened my experience, has been through affliction and not through happiness.”

We are very glad, happy, and full of hope with the material we received from USA SA. We feel international! That’s wonderful for our group! We are walking step by step. We are not rich of fortune, but we are rich of hope to introduce SA program in Rio very well.
