Celebrating our founder was a celebration of everyone.

Remembering our founder, Roy K., and his courageous effort to establish Sexaholics Anonymous, we recall with immense gratitude the first SA meeting on February 4, 1979.

This was a great reason to celebrate and give thanks. Our group, La Liberación, organized the Gratitude Celebration on Saturday, February 28. Each of us shared what we were grateful for, and by the end, we felt the energy and the presence of the Higher Power.

We shared a cake that reminded us that, in recovery, life is a celebration. At the end of the meeting, the smiles and joyful expressions on our faces were like a seal upon us.

The money collected during that meeting through our Seventh Tradition was donated to SAICO.
