Discussion Topic: How can I and my home group attain Emotional Sobriety?
The author of “Obstacles to Emotional Sobriety” describes some of the blocks many of us have from reaching “emotional sobriety.” Here are some questions to consider:
How am I doing with LUST sobriety?
Do I see my illness as a physical allergy instead of a moral failure?
Am I following my sponsors’ suggestions, really?
Am I still blaming others and myself instead of the disease?
Do I still go into shame instead of enjoying the spiritual journey I am on? Do I tend time and again to rest on my laurels instead of treating my disease on a daily basis?
Do I still think God will do it for me, without me doing the footwork?
Do I have a home group that supports me and its members in their lust and emotional sobriety?
