Dear ESSAY,

I am writing for two reasons. First, I have been receiving your ESSAY Journal for several years now, and the articles within it have changed my life and changed the inner person of who I really am.

In Luke’s article, “The Carousel of Self”, he describes the back-and-forth, the ups and downs of living in selfishness. There seems to be no steady flow of peace in the attempt to always stay “up”.

SA has been a source of great strength and recovery during a time when all hope seemed lost.

The ESSAY’s December edition is “Amends: Straightening Out the Past”. We will be exploring the challenges that we faced when approaching this step that can sometimes be intimidating.

You are invited to read this “Editor’s Corner” in your home group during announcements.

In June, she presented Part One, the challenges of women in SA. Now she will focus on the solution as we know it today.

Following the suggestion in the literature to accept outside help when needed was a deeper Step Three that drew her closer to God.
