Я трезва с 7 января 2023 года. В тот день я летела на самолёте в Южную Африку (SA- South Africa, в оригинале АС сопоставляется с Южной Африкой), так что с тех пор я буквально отправилась в новую жизнь. У Бога потрясающее чувство юмора!

Год назад, впервые подключившись к собранию в Zoom, я очень испугалась того, что попала на смешанное собрание. Меня мучил вопрос: как я могу оставаться трезвой в присутствии мужчин?

Kiedy po raz pierwszy przyszłam do SA i usłyszałam o spotkaniach mieszanych (z mężczyznami, jak i kobietami), pomyślałam, że jeśli wszyscy mają taki sam mózg jak ja, to będzie niezła impreza!

Jestem trzeźwa od 7 stycznia 2023 roku. Tego dnia leciałam do RPA, więc dosłownie od tego czasu podróżuję ku nowemu życiu. Bóg ma niesamowite poczucie humoru!

Rok temu byłam zaniepokojona, kiedy weszłam na moje pierwsze spotkanie na Zoomie, ponieważ było ono mieszane. Zastanawiałam się, jak zachować trzeźwość wśród mężczyzn? To, co od samego początku mnie uspokoiło, to sposób, w jaki koledzy podawali daty swojej trzeźwości, kiedy się przedstawiali. Nie miałam wyboru w tej kwestii – musiałam pokonać swoje lęki i wracać na mitingi, aby nauczyć się, jak zachować trzeźwość i pogłębić swoje zdrowienie, co też robiłam; uczęszczałam na codzienne mitingi hybrydowe na Zoomie, a także na cotygodniowe, tylko dla kobiet.

Lorsque je suis arrivée en SA et que j’ai entendu parler de réunions mixtes (avec des hommes et des femmes), je me suis dit que si tout le monde avait le même cerveau que moi, ça allait être une sacrée fête !

Je participe au programme depuis 2010. J’ai pu rester sobre pendant 13 ans et je suis reconnaissant qu’on m’ait demandé d’écrire un article sur les hommes et les femmes de la communauté.

Il y a un dicton qui dit : « Le rétablissement est une paix et une sérénité au milieu de la tempête ». Et Priscilla a connu de nombreuses tempêtes. Aujourd’hui, après plus de 30 ans de sobriété sexuelle, elle dispose d’outils pour garder le cap pendant les tempêtes.

Je suis sobre depuis le 7 janvier 2023. Ce jour-là, j’ai pris un vol pour l’Afrique du Sud (SA), et j’ai donc littéralement voyagé vers une nouvelle vie depuis lors. Dieu a un sens de l’humour incroyable !

Il y a un an, j’ai ressenti de l’appréhension en entrant dans ma première réunion Zoom parce qu’elle était mixte. J’avais une question : Comment rester sobre parmi les hommes ? Ce qui m’a rassurée d’emblée, c’est la façon dont les membres incluaient leur date de sobriété lorsqu’ils se présentaient.

I’ve been sober since January 7, 2023. That day I took a flight to South Africa (SA), so I literally traveled to a new life since then. God has an amazing sense of humor!

A year ago, I felt apprehensive when I entered my first Zoom meeting because it was mixed. I had a question: How do I stay sober amongst men? What reassured me from the outset was the way the fellows included their sobriety dates when they introduced themselves. But I had no choice in the matter – I had to overcome my fears and keep coming back in order to learn how to stay sober and deepen my recovery, which I did; I continued to attend daily hybrid meetings on Zoom, plus a weekly women-only meeting.
