An Innovative and Multilingual Website

An innovative and multilingual website. That’s what we have been aspiring to build: a handy tool to bring our growing worldwide fellowship closer together and an alluring vehicle to carry the message.

We hope you like it … so far. As it isn’t finished yet. We are finding out what to do next as we go.

The inspiration for using technology in carrying the message comes from the AA Big Book which says on p. xxiv in the Foreword to the Fourth Edition (adapted to sexaholism):

While our literature has preserved the integrity of the SA message, sweeping changes in society as a whole are reflected in new customs and practices within the Fellowship. Taking advantage of technological advances, for example, SA members with computers can participate in meetings online, sharing with fellow sexaholics across the country or around the world. In any meeting, anywhere, SA’s share experience, strength, and hope with each other, in order to stay sober and help other sexaholics. Modem-to-modem or face-to-face, SA’s speak the language of the heart in all its power and simplicity.

We are doing this with volunteering members from different countries and we are still in need of:

  • AI artists willing to make photos and illustrations for our articles
  • Members who want to help loading in all the articles of all past magazines, in order to have an extensive and complete archive
  • Male and female fellows with a US accent and a good voice who want to record the original articles in English
  • Enthusiastic translators from English into their own language
  • Members with webdesign skills, audio engineering, podcast promoting, graphic design skills
  • Cartoonists and illustrators; poets and photographers
  • As always: anyone who wants to share good personal experience, strength, and hope with us in the form of written articles or 7-min audio shares

For us, in doing service we can testify that this adapted excerpt from the AA Big Book on p. 152 has become our reality:

We have shown how we got out from under. You say, “Yes, I am willing. But am I to be consigned to life where I shall be stupid, boring and glum, like some righteous people I see? I know I must get along with lusting, but how can I? Have you a sufficient substitute?

Yes, there is a substitute and it is vastly more than that. It is a fellowship in Sexaholics Anonymous. There you will find release from care, boredom and worry. Your imagination will be fired. Life will mean something at last. The most satisfactory years of your existence lie ahead. Thus we find the fellowship and so will you.
